Each provider runs its own company. Each sets its own prices, schedule, and methods.

What Happens Next

Here is the usual order:

1. Request: You send a short form or request a callback. 2. Match: Your details go to a provider that serves your area. 3. Talk: The provider asks about what you saw and where. 4. Inspect: Many providers look at the home before giving a firm price. 5. Quote: You get the plan and the price. Ask for it in writing. 6. Decide: You say yes or no. Nothing starts until you agree.

Call hours vary by provider, so a reply may not come right away.

What to Ask a Provider

Keep this list handy. First-timers often forget half of it.

• Are you licensed or registered here? Can I see proof?
• Do you carry liability insurance?
• What exactly will you treat or remove, and where?
• What products or methods do you use? Are they safe around kids and pets?
• Does the quote include follow-up visits?
• What does the warranty or re-treatment policy say, in writing?
• What should I do before you arrive?

Write down the answers. Compare them if you talk to more than one provider.

A request does not lock you in. You can ask questions, get more than one quote, or walk away. Be careful with anyone who pushes you to sign on the spot.
